Hi All, thanks for all the suggestions. Our trip, a few weeks ago, was wonderful. We settled on Vourvourou and had a very pleasant stay at Elena Studios (owned by the same people as Lazaros studios). They were perfectly located, quiet but still within a few meters of a nice beach.

We tried most of the greek restaurants in town, none were very good, though a couple were good enough: Gorgona i poulman and a new small place between the supermarkets on the northwest end of the town. The best meals we had were in, and on the way back to, thessaloniki.

We did get a chance to drive around a bit and this only confirmed to us that we had made the right choice about where to go (many thanks to all of you!). Nikiti was much much busier and uglier I am afraid, with a lot of new (and unfinished) construction. Lots of beaches were just that, without any amenities.

We also very much enjoyed an evening in Agios Nikolaos in the center of Sithonia.

Soon I'll be asking advice for our next trip!
